Power supply

An LED power supply is an electrical device that provides the current and voltage required for the proper operation of LED lighting. Since LEDs (light-emitting diodes) operate at low voltage and most LED luminaires cannot be connected directly to the mains supply (230V AC), a power supply is essential to ensure that LEDs operate safely and efficiently. By converting mains voltage to the appropriate low-voltage output, the power supply protects the LEDs from overload and helps maintain stable, flicker-free lighting performance.
