Features and types:

1. Basic power strips:

   • The simplest power strips usually provide just a few sockets from a single wall outlet. They typically offer 2–6 outlets. They are ideal for home use when you need to connect one or more devices to a single mains socket.

2. Grounded power strips:

   • Grounded power strips are safer than non‑grounded versions because they provide earthing for your devices. Grounded outlets are especially important for higher‑power equipment such as computers, household appliances, TVs and similar devices, where grounding is essential for safe operation.

   • Power strips are made from different materials. One of the most common is plastic, which is lightweight and cost‑effective. Metal‑cased power strips are more resistant to mechanical damage and are often used in industrial applications thanks to their robust construction.

6. Outdoor power strips:

   • Outdoor power strips are designed to be water‑resistant and weatherproof, making them suitable for use outside. They can be used, for example, for garden lighting, outdoor entertainment systems or for connecting mobile devices in outdoor spaces.

7. Power strips with extension cable:

   • Power strips with built‑in extension cords are designed for users who need not only more outlets, but also a longer reach from the power source. These strips come with an integrated cable, providing greater flexibility in placing and powering your devices.
